  1. Hiking, Hiking, and More Hiking!

When she’s not hard at work, our Senior Manager, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Ava Gurekian loves to explore all of Maine’s natural beauty and the many scenic trails it offers. As an avid hiker she has hiked easy trails and some of the most challenging ones in the state. For an easy day hike, Ava suggests Wolfe’s Neck in Freeport. She says “It’ll give you a sense of being in Acadia without the long drive.”

For a more challenging hike and some amazing views, head to Harpswell to hike Ava’s favorite, the Cliff Trail. Hit up Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick, ME for some post-hike refreshments.

If you’re really feeling up for the challenge, take on Pleasant Mountain and the Ledges Trail in Bridgton, ME. At 2,006 feet it’s southern Maine’s tallest mountain!

Maybe you don’t want to pack a snack for your expedition…in that case our Consultant, Azulina suggests heading up to Tumbledown Mountain to hike, swim and eat blueberries along the way! As a reward, at the end of your hike you’ll be treated to a beautiful crater lake where you can fish and swim!
