Vice President, Technology Practice
Mr. Gurau leads Beacon’s Technology practice and brings more than thirty years of experience in strategy, technology and new ventures. As a strategy consultant, Mr. Gurau has studied technologies spanning the internet of things, cognitive computing, open source software, autonomous machines, cloud computing, high performance computing, and software defined networking. Mr. Gurau has significant experience in assessing new products, ventures and markets both for Fortune 250 companies and for early and late stage ventures. His functional experience include strategic planning, market assessment, competitive intelligence, due diligence, new technology commercialization, market entry strategies, joint/new ventures, and mergers & acquisitions analysis. Prior to joining Beacon, Mr. Gurau held senior operating roles in corporate development, finance, marketing and private equity. Mr. Gurau holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Babson College and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School.
